The Indiana Heritage Quilt Show (IHQS) is an annual show that takes place the first weekend in March in Bloomington, Indiana. The show features a wide range of workshops for beginners to experts with well-known instructors. There are a range of vendors at the show as well, fabrics and notions and numerous non-quilting merchandise as well. There are also special exhibits each year from around the country as well as unique exhibits at local museums.

Of course the bulk of the show is made up of competitive quilt entries from around the county (and other countries as well!) Quilts of various categories are judged and awards are given to the top three entries in each category, plus best of show, exemplary quilting, and a variety of other prizes. Each year, around 200 quilts are entered, by quilters with a range of experience and expertise. It's a fantastic display of artistry and craftsmanship!
