During this geology walk on the Delaware River Heritage Trail, participants will learn about the Delaware River, the former Roebling steel mill site, Crafts Creek, sand and clay mining, brick making, and much more. The walk will be 1.5 miles one way from Roebling Park to the Kinkora Tunnel under Rt. 130 for a total round trip of 3 miles on a paved path. Meets at the end of 2nd Ave in Roebling, just 500 feet from the Roebling Museum. Participants are encouraged to visit the nearby museum on another day (Thursday through Saturday) for a complete experience and understanding of this historical landmark. Led by Pierre Lacombe, retired USGS geologist. Registration Required!
