Playland Is Set to Open for the Season with a Ribbon Cutting of a New Welcoming Fountain Plaza Show

As one of the nation's most iconic amusement parks since opening in 1928 with over 40 rides and attractions, Playland Is Set to Open for the Season with a Ribbon Cutting of a New Welcoming Fountain Plaza Show and will debut new experiences for 2023. The Opening Day ceremony will include 120 musicians from the Port Chester High School Marching Band; a medium and fortune teller inspired by the mysterious Zoltar; families; and others. Following the ceremony, the Park will open to the public at 11:00 am with an opportunity to be one of the first to ride on some of the newest, as well as most beloved rides including the Crazy Mouse, Dragon Coaster, and the Old Motorbike Ride (which is the newest to the collection!)

Other major NEW family rides and experiences that will debut later in the 2023 season include the opening of Jack the Puppeteer and a new installation, “Play! Verse An Immersive Adventure” which will have various creative room designs for visually interactive and dynamic photo ops. Plus, new dining opportunities will be introduced including with the upcoming opening of Tiki Beach, which will be an upscale eatery with indoor and outdoor seating, as well as Captain Lawrence Beer Garden as a more casual space adjacent to Tiki Beach with outdoor seating only.

In addition to the popular rides at Playland, the historic amusement park also features a scenic on-site Playland Beach with a NEW waterfront slide, as well as a NEW Playland pool with zero depth entry and state-of-the-art lounge furniture, The Boardwalk at Playland, and Playland Lake with NEW paddle boats available alongside the historic Boathouse – all on the shores of the Long Island Sound. Playland is a public Westchester County Park managed by Standard Amusements.
