Description
For the first time, Spill the Honey joins the Brahma Kumaris, an international non-governmental organization of the United Nations, in person for the BK’s annual community event “Peace in the Park: One people, One planet, One purpose” in celebration of International Day of Peace. Since 2010, Brahma Kumaris has hosted Peace in the Park to build awareness of peace, love, harmony, and respect among diverse communities, going beyond all barriers to embrace unity in diversity. This year, Spill the Honey (STH) has been invited to perform several songs inspired by its mission to use the transformative power of the arts to defeat antisemitism and racism, build partnerships that transcend divisions, and reinforce shared legacies through amplifying the voices of the historic African American-Jewish civil rights coalition.

This free in-person event will be held at Central Park’s Naumburg Bandshell from 12 PM to 7 PM, and Mali Wilson, Grammy nominated producer and singer, will perform the “Spill the Honey” anthem at 5 PM.

Peace in the Park showcases a wide variety of activities for all ages presented by like-minded community and humanitarian organizations and NGOs. Activities will include creative meditation, yoga sessions, and interactive conversations on health and well-being, social justice, post-COVID challenges, and environmental initiatives. The day will feature live musical and dance performances from cultures around the world, youth and children's activities, games, and more.
