Come out for an old fashion spring sounds nighttime walk as we explore the woods and wetlands of Freneau Woods to listen for spring peepers seeking out mates or other frogs in the marsh. If we get lucky we may even spot a few of these tiny, but often heard frogs. Our naturalist-led walk will also introduce us to other secretive amphibians that call Freneau Woods home including wood frogs and salamanders. Plus we will look for skunk cabbage, one of the earliest and smelliest plants to bloom. Waterproof boots, flashlights and warm attire are strongly suggested. In the case of steady rain or high winds, the event will be cancelled.
