Fall foliage can be spectacular! Traditionally, the best time to see fall foliage in Monmouth County is late October and November. Join a park naturalist as we take a gentle walk around the woods and wetlands of Freneau Woods Park, a 311-acre park located along the headwaters of Matawan Creek and Lake Lefferts. Discover why leaves change color, why leaves have different color and much more. Follow us to where the leaves seem to glow as they change from green to gold, red, and orange hues of fall. Please wear footwear that can get dirty or muddy.
